Research assistant at the European Social Research Unit (3 months)

The European Social Research Unit (ESRU), part of the Department of Social Anthropology of the University of Barcelona, and belonging to the Research Group on Gender, Identity and Diversity (GENI), is dedicated to developing applied and academic social research in the areas of social identity, vulnerability, and resilience, focusing on gender, age (young people) and migration studies, at a comparative transnational level.

Required profile:

- Native English speaker or with a high level of academic English (e.g. proficiency level)

- Experience in the development of EC-funded research proposals (H2020, FP7)

- Must be registered as a postgraduate (Master or PhD) student at a university in Spain in order to be eligible

- Preferably with research experience and/or interest in one or several of the following fields: social exclusion, gender studies, youth, hate crimes/speech.


- Support in the development of research proposals, including administrative and coordination tasks

- Support in the research and administrative tasks of our current projects

Type of contract:

- Paid 3-month internship (October-December 2017)

- 20 hours/week


- 500 euros/month
